Blog Post Assignment Number 1

A little bit about me:
Hello EDM310 Summer Class, my name is Angelia Gafford but some people call me Angie.  I'm 27 years old and yes still in school.  I love to learn new things and help anyone who is in need.  My friends and family mean everything to me.  I love making lots of memories because we only have one life to live, so we need to live it to the fullest.  I graduated for Murphy High School in 2003: I went straight to Bishop State Community College.  I attended for about 3 years and dropped out when the mishap with financial aid and teachers occurred.  I found a full time job working for an insurance company and 4 years later I decided to go back to school at the University of South Alabama.  I have now been at USA for 3 years and are counting down the days till graduation.  My number 1 priority is to complete school by the time I'm 30 years of age (fingers crossed).
I'm somewhat of a homebody because I've lived in Mobile, AL. basically my entire life, with the exception of a few years of my childhood, when I lived in Oklahoma.  I have a very supportive family.  My parents help me with everything I need and if I didn't have them both I don't know what I would do.  I live with my two brothers in a three bedroom townhouse and love it.  I'm the oldest of us three and I look out for them at all time.  I come from a family of teachers, my father teaches special education at Theodore High and my mother just graduated from South and is now looking for a job teaching.  Last semester I observed a kindergarten class and that's when I new my calling was to teach.  I love knowing that I'll be helping students accomplish their goal.

Time Management: by Randy Pausch
Time Management consists of goals, priorities and proper planning.  We should focus on doing the right things aquatically which is much more important than doing the wrong things beautifully, says Pausch.  This video helps you to realize how managing your time is a key component for success.  Our time is valuable; don’t make your enemies to be stress and procrastination.  We should never plan to fail but manage your time wisely.  For example, making a, "to do list" will help you not only remember what is important but will help you organize your goals and priorities.  This video is useful for students or anyone who want to learn how to manage their time efficiently and to focus on your tasks at hand.  I’ve learned by watching this video that time management is a long term life style change we should all posses.
